Proud to Be An American

We had a great 4th of July with all the fixins to make one proud to be an American. Starting the day off with a parade full of boy scouts, war veterans, dairy queens, cool classic cars, and horses of courses. Then we had a yummy BBQ with corn on the cob, and watermelon. And ended the day going to a smaller town nearby to see one of the best firework shows ever, without the crowds. There was also a demolition derby going on, what's more American than that!

Uncle Jared Comes to Visit!

This last week Mike's brother came to visit. We did lots of fun things like berry picking, making jam, hiked to a waterfall, went camping and fishing, went to the zoo, painted a house, and went to the farmers market.

Strawberry Fields Forever

It is berry season here in Oregon and Emi loves all of them! So far we have picked strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. Oregon has great U-pick berry farms where you can pick your own berries for a great price, Emily loves it, she just sits by a bush and eats and eats and eats. Then for days after she poops pure berries!
