Emily's First Birthday!!

Emily turned one year old yesterday! She had a very fun birthday party and all her favorite people were there including her Grandma Thayne.

The Finished Project

When we moved in to our new house I said i would not move in until all the wall paper was gone and we painted everything. We gave ourselves a full week and only got two rooms done. I never wanted to remove wallpaper again after that week so we decided to live with our "Welcome to my English herbal garden" kitchen wallpaper for awhile. But the time has finally come and after a lot of work we have redone the kitchen. We painted (of course), put up new trim and a new door.Here are the before and afters.

Now I just need some wall art. I love the area we moved to because of all the neat old barns around, I want to use framed photos of them in my kitchen, so to all my Oregon friends . . .Where is your favorite old barn?
