Family Photos

We had these pictures taken on Emily's 8 month birthday. She has grown up so fast, she doesn't even look like an 8 month old. I love the way the pictures turned out. Aren't Emi's eyes gorgeous?! When I fist saw them i thought the photographer had enhanced Emily's blue eyes, but she didn't, those are her true baby blues! If anyone is looking for a good photographer look up http://jennipricephotography.com

Catching up

We were without internet for two weeks during November so I have some catching up to do. Although unusual for this time of year in Oregon, we had some very sunny beautiful fall days. We spent those days raking leaves from our (too) many trees, cutting or chopping firewood, and still had a day or two for a bike ride at a nearby state park. Grandma and Grandpa Thayne came to visit the week before Thanksgiving, they brought Emily lots of fun surprises and gave her tons of attention, which was good because she was sick that week. Thanks mom and dad.

Thanksgiving Dinner for Two (and a half)

Mike had to work on Thanksgiving this year so we planned a small Thanksgiving dinner with just our little family during his lunch break. It was actually quite nice, I only made our favorite holiday dishes and desserts and didn't worry if something didn't turn out perfect. Emily enjoyed trying all the new food, I think her favorite was the olives.

Halloween is Serious Monkey Business

Here is lil' monkey.

Emily was a monkey for her first Halloween. (she's a monkey most other days too, minus the costume). We had a fun filled day. While dad worked we went to a cookie decorating party and then to our cousins to trick or treat. Emily loved seeing all the kids having fun. When dad got home he took Emily trick or treating to some of the neighbors' houses, by the last one she had it down, she picked up her own candy from the bowl and wouldn't let it go the rest of the night.

Mike dressed up like a zombie, look at those eyes!

By the end of the night Emily succeeded and made herself a chocolate mess, she then cried like never before when dad took it from her and had a hard time going to sleep. She is still on a sugar high from such a fun day!
